Albania bought Bayraktar TB2 drones to be used by the army and police

The Bayraktar TB unmanned aerial vehicles of the Turkish company Baykar will soon come into service with the army and police of Albania.

Here's What We Know

Albania ordered one unmanned aerial system, which includes three Bayraktar TB2 strike drones and a command and control center. The cost of the contract should be about $6 million. There is no information about the terms of delivery.

In peacetime, the drones will not be parked in a hangar. They will be used by Albanian police to monitor the territory of the country, track forest fires and search for cannabis plantations.
