Red Cat Holdings wants to convince NATO to send unannounced drones to Ukraine Teal 2 is a drone with the world's best thermal imager and Teledyne FLIR technology
Red Cat Holdings wants to persuade NATO to allow a batch of Teal 2 drones to be delivered to Ukraine. The drones were developed by a subsidiary, Teal Drones.
Here's What We Know
The Red Cat delegation plans to hold several meetings with representatives of NATO member states to discuss sending Teal 2 quadcopters to Ukraine. The official presentation of the drones will take place before the end of the first half of 2023.
The drones can be used to find targets and correct artillery fire. According to the manufacturer, the quadcopters are equipped with the world's best night vision camera, which uses next-generation Teledyne FLIR technology.
Tomahawk Robotics, Reveal Technology and Immervision are helping to build the Teal 2 quadcopters. With their help, the drones have learned to create 3D terrain maps, and operators can control multiple drones simultaneously.
Although the Teal 2 has yet to be officially introduced, Red Cat has delivered 54 quadcopters to the United States Customs and Border Protection. They are used for reconnaissance and surveillance.
