Turkish company Baykar has handed over the second Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle to the Polish military. Half of the contract has already been fulfilled.

Here's What We Know

Poland has signed an agreement to buy four Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial systems in 2021. The cost of one complex is $67 million. It includes six drones, three vehicle-based control stations, spare parts, radar stations and additional equipment.

The second batch of Bayraktar TB2s arrived in Miroslavets the other day. The Turkish drones will be stationed at the 12th UAV base. The Polish army received the first unit last autumn. Two more will be delivered by the end of next year.

Note that Poland ordered the aircraft systems with an active phased array radar. It is called Osprey 30 and was developed by the Italian company Leonardo. Each complex includes two radars.
