AeroVironment will send its most advanced VTOL reconnaissance drones, the JUMP 20, with a range of 185km, to Ukraine

AeroVironment will hand over its most advanced JUMP 20 drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was reported by Voice of America journalists who visited the US company's factory.

AeroVironment has announced that it has already sent more than 1,000 Switchblade 300, Switchblade 600 and PUMA drones to Ukraine. The new Switchblade 300 Block 20 and JUMP 20 will soon be added to that list. These drones will expand the capabilities of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

The JUMP 20 is a fixed wing VTOL class drone. It can take off and land vertically. The drone is designed for surveillance, reconnaissance and reconnaissance missions. The flight time is more than 14 hours.

The drone has a range of 185 km and is capable of climbing to an altitude of over 5 km. The JUMP 20 is equipped with an ARCAM-45B electro-optical station and is capable of mounting a WESCAM MX-8, Trillium HD80 or TASE 40 LRS.
