Steadicopter has unveiled a helicopter-type drone called the Golden Eagle. Not to be confused with the Korean FA-50 aircraft. The drone can be used for surveillance and reconnaissance as well as striking enemy targets.

Here's What We Know

The manufacturer claims that the Golden Eagle is the first unmanned helicopter capable of precision strikes from the air. It is based on the Black Eagle 50E reconnaissance drone, leverages advanced artificial intelligence technology and carries a combat payload with remote control capability.

The vertical take-off and landing drone is able to track and classify multiple targets simultaneously. It does so using SMASH Dragon's Smartshooter technology, which uses computer vision algorithms.

The Golden Eagle is equipped with assault rifles, sniper rifles, and can carry ammunition. It has a maximum takeoff weight of 50kg. An electric motor allows speeds of up to 126 km/h. Cruising speed is 85 km/h. During flight, the drone can climb to an altitude of up to 5.5 km.
