Skydio will no longer produce consumer-class drones. The American company intends to focus on working with corporate and government clients.

Here's What We Know

The Skydio 2 quadrocopter is able to impose competition to the drones of the Chinese company DJI. This was achieved thanks to its machine vision capabilities, which allow the drone to avoid obstacles.

The success could not stop Skydio from leaving the consumer market. The American company decided to focus more on relationships with the military, government clients and businesses. Let's not forget that Skydio is one of the few American UAV manufacturers that has been approved by the US Department of Defence.

Despite the discontinuation of consumer drone sales, the company has decided to keep its customers happy. Skydio intends to continue releasing software updates for its drones.
