Ukraine is creating its own analogue to Russia's Lancet kamikaze attack drone, which can reach speeds of up to 300km/h and costs $35,000

The Ukrainian Defence Forces will soon have an analogue of the Russian kamikaze drone Lancet (pictured above) in service. This was announced by the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

According to the Minister, Ukraine already has manufacturers who have managed to create an analogue of the Russian barrage munition "Lancet". The kamikaze drone will be called "Perun". You can see it below. The screenshot shows the overall dimensions: 1365 x 1370 x 800 mm.

Now the key task is to scale up production. The technical specifications, planned production volumes and cost of the new Ukrainian kamikaze drone were not disclosed by the defence minister. However, he added that there is already a clear vision of how many Peruns will be handed over to the military.

"Lancet" has proven to be a very effective weapon in the hands of the Russian army, once again demonstrating the importance of drones in this war. It is based on the Cube drone and entered service four three years ago. The cost is approximately $35,000.

The kamikaze drone has a range of 40 minutes and a range of 40-70 kilometres depending on the sub-modification. The drone is able to reach speeds" up to 300 km/h and the maximum weight of the warhead is 3kg.

The above characteristics refer to the Lancet-3 kamikaze drone. There is also a more compact version called "Lancet-1". It can stay in the air for up to 30 minutes, and the payload/combat weight has been reduced to 1kg. It has a range of 40 kilometres.
