Ukraine and France have agreed to jointly produce Aarok unmanned aerial vehicles. This is reported by LaTribune.

According to the source, the French company Turgis & Gaillard has signed a contract with the Ukrainian company Anton for the common production of the Aarok drone, which was presented in the summer of 2023 in Paris. The new drone will make its first flight next year.
The drone will be designed exclusively for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Export of the UAV is not envisaged. The companies have to agree on the details at the industrial and operational levels, after which production will begin.
Aarok is a medium altitude drone with a long flight duration. It can stay in the air for 30 hours and climb to altitudes of over 9,000 metres. The drone has a maximum speed of 463 kilometres per hour. The Aarok can carry two Akeron MP or AGM-114 Hellfire missiles. It has a maximum take-off weight of 5.5 tonnes and a payload capacity of 1.5 tonnes.
