The Russian army has lost another radar station. The Ukrainian defence forces have destroyed a radar called 48Ya6-K1 Podlyot.

Here's What We Know

The radar complex was destroyed by a $500 FPV drone. This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

48YA6-K1 "Podlyot" is a radar station that can detect air targets at low and ultra-low altitudes. The complex is used together with S-300 and S-400 air defence systems to provide target designation.

The 48Ya6-K1 Podlyot has a range of up to 300 kilometres and an altitude range of 0-10 kilometres. In late summer 2023, the Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed the radar complex along with the S-400 launcher on the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea.
