Leleka LR is a new version of Ukraine's Leleka-100 drone, which is EW resistant and has an extended range
Ukrainian-Czech company UAC has unveiled a new unmanned aerial vehicle. It is called Leleka LR (Long Range).
Here's What We Know
The new drone is based on the Leleka-100 reconnaissance drone of the Ukrainian company Deviro. Production is set up in the Czech Republic, and the Operator Training Centre will remain in Ukraine. In addition, testing and servicing will take place in Ukraine.
Leleka LR is also a reconnaissance-level drone, just like Leleka-100. It can climb to a height of up to 2000 metres and stay in the air for 4 hours. It has a range of 90 kilometres. The UAV is capable of a speed of 32 metres per second with a cruising speed of 22 metres per second.
The drone is equipped with a camera with two-axis stabilisation and zoom up to 25x. Thanks to the on-board computer, the drone can follow moving objects in automatic mode.
Leleka LR has modern technologies that make it resistant to enemy electronic warfare. In addition, Leleka LR can be used with artillery systems and HIMARS. The drone is expected to be in service in about a month.
