Albania becomes 25th country to adopt Bayraktar TB2 drone

Turkey has delivered a batch of three of its Bayraktar TB2 reconnaissance and strike UAVs to the Albanian army.

Defence Minister Niko Peleši said that in early March, his country received three drones of this type, which are part of one set. Before adopting the Bayraktar, Albanian operators underwent training courses.
Turkey and Albania signed a contract for the purchase of UAVs in December 2022. It is not yet known how much the deal cost, but in the same year, 2022, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the cost could be around $6 million.
