Kuo and Gurman are sure there will be no iPhone 15 Pro Max in 2023 - it will be replaced by the Ultra version

Apple unveiled the iPhone 14 lineup this week, so it's time to talk about the next generation, the iPhone 15. Some of their predictions have already been voiced by renowned analyst Ming Chi Kuo and Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

Here's What We Know

Kuo is confident that the regular iPhone 15 and the Pro will get even more differences next year, as Apple wants to give customers more reasons to choose higher-end smartphones. This will increase the distribution of Pro shipments and ultimately raise the average sales price of the iPhone 15 family as a whole.

Kuo also predicts that Apple will create more differentiation within the Pro series itself, but didn't go into detail. Mark Gurman agrees with him, predicting that in 2023 the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be replaced by a model with the prefix Ultra in its name. Given Apple's Watch Ultra range and the Pro, Max and Ultra configurations for the Mac M-series processors, this sounds logical.
