Google will release a new smart Nest Doorbell, the device will get a camera and wired connection

In addition to the new Chromecast, Google is working on another device.

We are talking about the new Nest Doorbell. Information and renderings of the novelty were published by our colleagues from 9to5Google. The device goes under the code name venus. The novelty will get an elongated oval shape, reduced dimensions, G logo, one button and a camera. Unlike the current model, the new Nest Doorbell will support wired connection.

Characteristics of the device are not available yet, but it is known that the bell will support the ability to continuously record video 24/7. To do this you will need to subscribe to Nest Aware.

When We Can Expect It

No date for the announcement of Nest Doorbell 2nd generation yet. Most likely the product will be shown at a Google presentation on October 6.
