Don't wait: Apple has no plans to release a new Mac until next year
According to rumors, Apple was supposed to unveil new Macs with proprietary M2 chips in November. However, it looks like this won't happen - at least, that's what reputable insiders say.
Here's What We Know
As Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says in the latest edition of its Power On newsletter, Apple has decided to wait until next year. That is, updated versions of the MacBook Pro, Mac mini and Mac Pro won't debut until early 2023.
""I’m told that Apple is aiming to introduce the upgraded models—including M2-based versions of the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros—in the first quarter of calendar 2023"," Gurman assures.
Some confirmation of his words came from Apple CEO Tim Cook during the company's latest earnings report. He said that Apple's product lineup was defined in anticipation of the holidays, perhaps hinting that there would be no new product launches this year.
