Qualcomm started releasing ARM processors for PCs since last year, but they were only improved versions of mobile chips. Now the American manufacturer plans to release a completely new SoC.

Here's What We Know

The information was shared by German insider Roland Quandt. The new processor goes with the codename Hamoa. The chip should get 12 cores with a configuration of 8 + 4. The first cluster will consist of high-performance cores, and the second - the energy-efficient.

According to rumors, the Qualcomm processor will get a core design Nuvia Phoenix, which was developed by former Apple engineers. It is also the basis of Apple's current ARM chips. Unfortunately, there are no other details about the new product. Rumor has it that the SoC will debut in 2024.
