Apple recently confirmed that it plans to install a USB-C charging port in future iPhone models. Now analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has provided more details about it.

Here's What We Know

So, according to Kuo, the iPhone 15 models will have different USB-C ports. The basic versions of the devices (iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus) will get a USB 2.0 connector with data transfer rates up to 480 Mbps. That is, like Lightning in the current lineup.

As for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (aka iPhone 15 Ultra), they will boast USB-C 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3 ports. In the first case the devices will be able to transfer data at speeds of up to 20 Gbps, and in the second - up to 40 Gbps.
