According to an insider, Apple was planning to release a budget Apple Pencil this year.
Here's What We Know
The device went by the codename Marker. It wasn't supposed to have a pressure sensor and a battery. Instead of a battery, the stylus was planned to have a chip that would be powered by the screen, similar to the S Pen in Samsung devices. The gadget would work with the iPad and iPhone.
The stylus was supposed to be unveiled at the iPhone 14 launch, but the project was canceled at the last minute. Even though Apple has already produced 1 million devices. According to an insider, the gadget was going to sell for $50.
