Confirmed: Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will get a new flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

So, according to the manufacturer's teasers, the devices will run on the new top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. The chip debuted two weeks ago. It is built on a 4-nanometer process. The SoC has eight cores: one main core based on ARM Cortex-X3 clocked at 3.2 GHz, four high-performance cores at 2.8 GHz and three energy-efficient cores at 2.0 GHz. According to Xiaomi, the multi-core performance of the processor is 37% more powerful than the Apple A16 Bionic in the iPhone 14 Pro.

In addition to the new processor, the flagships will also come with new LPDDR5X RAM (8,533 Mbps) and UFS 4.0 storage. Thanks to this, the bandwidth of smartphones will reach the level of chips for desktops.
