Rumor: Apple is working on a cheaper AR/VR headset that will cost as much as an iPhone

We've written more than once that Apple plans to show an AR/VR headset this year for about $3,000. As it turns out, the company is also working on a cheaper model.

Here's What We Know

Two reputable publications, The Information and Bloomberg, reported this at once. According to the reports, the new product will cost the same as the iPhone. That is, in the range of $799-1599.

Apple is planning to use cheaper components to reduce the price of the device, but this gadget will receive the same AR / VR-functions, as the older model.

When We Can Expect It

The new headset is still in the early stages of development. If everything goes according to plan, it will be released in 2024 or 2025.
