A copy of the Huawei Mate 50: an insider has released a rendering of the first NIO smartphone

In the summer of 2022, it was reported on the internet that Chinese car manufacturer NIO was about to enter the smartphone market. Now an insider has shared a rendering of the company's first new product.

Here’s What We Know 

If the leak is to be believed, the device will look a lot like the flagship Huawei Mate 50 smartphone. The gadget will get a large round camera unit with three sensors and LED flash. Unfortunately, there are no specs or release dates for the novelty yet. Presumably, the device will be unveiled later this year. Most likely, NIO will follow in Apple's footsteps and update the smartphone once a year.

Incidentally, Chinese car maker Geely acquired Meizu in July 2022. The company will now also be in the smartphone business.
