Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 16GB RAM and Android 13 - Sony Xperia 5 V specs revealed

Sony will unveil a new generation of flagship smartphones this year. As usual, we'll see the big flagship Xperia 1 V and the compact Xperia 5 V. Some specifications of the latter are already known.

Here's What We Know

The Sony Xperia 5 V has passed the performance test in Geekbench 5 software. In Single-Core mode, the smartphone scored 1,439 points. The Multi-Core result was 5,071 points. These are typical figures for models on the top-end Qualcomm chip. Yes, our hero will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile processor. Who would have doubted it.

According to the Geekbench database, the Sony Xperia 5 V will run Android 13 operating system. The RAM capacity will be 16GB.
Now, this is already unexpected. By comparison, all previous iterations of the Xperia 5 have 6/8GB installed.

There's no more information about the next-generation flagship. But all previous smartphones got a 6.1" Full HD+ OLED display, stereo speakers and three main 12MP + 12MP + 12MP cameras. There are likely to be no changes here again.
