iPhone 15 Plus on CAD Renderers: Dynamic Island and USB-C port instead of Lightning
9to5Mac, along with 3D graphics expert Ian Zelbo, have published CAD renderings of the iPhone 15 Plus smartphone, due to debut only in the fall. They are based on files that Apple provides to partners in its supply chain in preparation for the launch of the new iPhone. So they're accurate in both size and design.
Here's What We've Seen
Judging by the images, the main differences between the iPhone 15 Plus and previous models will be the USB-C port, which will finally replace Lightning, and the cutout for the Dynamic Island front-facing camera. All smartphones in the range will have it this year, not just the Pro versions.
Compared to the iPhone 14 Plus, the successor has thinner bezels, a larger rear camera protrusion and more rounded body edges.
The iPhone 15 Plus measures 160.87mm tall, 77.76mm wide and 7.81mm thick.
