Rumour: Samsung will launch as many as 6 foldable devices in 2024, drop the Galaxy S24+ and launch a new mid-range range
An insider revealed Samsung's plans for 2024 on Twitter, and they are quite ambitious.
Here's What We Know
If his information is to be believed, the company plans to introduce as many as 6 foldable devices next year. Apart from the usual Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, these will be the Galaxy Z Flip Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold Ultra, Galaxy Z Flex (a three-piece gadget) and Galaxy Z Tab (a foldable tablet).
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Ultra will get a 4K display and the Galaxy Z Flip Ultra will get a 2K display, both manufactured by Samsung Display. BOE, on the other hand, will take over the panels for the regular Z Fold and Z Flip.
In addition, the insider says that the company will drop the flagship Galaxy S24+ and introduce a new series of mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy K. Incidentally, K-based model numbers were indeed spotted in the Bluetooth SIG database earlier this year, but these could be disguised Galaxy S23s. So the insider's findings are best treated with doubt.
