Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ ready for global launch

Xiaomi will unveil the entry-level Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ smartphones this year. Both models will be sold in Europe.

Here's What We Know

The standard version has the model number 23028RN4DG, while the Plus variant is 23028RNCAG. The latter symbol indicates that these are smartphones for the global market (G - Global).

The Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ have already been certified by Germany's TÜV Rheinland Deutschland, the European Economic Commission and Thailand's Office of The National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC). In addition to this, the standard model has appeared in the database of the Indian certification bureau BIS.

The Redmi A2 will get a Helio G36 chip with 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 6.52" IPS HD+ display and a 5000mAh battery. The main camera will have a resolution of 8 MP. The smartphone will go on sale with Android 13 operating system. Redmi A2+ specifications are not specified.
