Insider: Basic iPhone models will get 120Hz ProMotion displays in 2025

Insider, analyst and founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young has shared some of Apple's plans.

So, according to Young, Apple isn't going to be adding ProMotion technology to the base iPhone models anytime soon. If all goes according to plan, the devices won't get 120Hz picture refresh rate support until two years from now - in 2025. That's when the company plans to install LTPO screens in base iPhones.

Apple has announced ProMotion technology with picture refresh rates from 10 to 120Hz with the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max in 2021. In 2022, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max came out with screens that support 1Hz to 120Hz as well as Always-On Display.
