Rumour: Apple has decided not to fit the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max with Taptic Engine touch pads instead of physical buttons
It's been repeatedly reported on the internet that the top-of-the-range iPhone 15 models will get Taptic Engine touch panels instead of physical buttons. This does not appear to be the case.
Here's What We Know
According to a new report from Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple did want to do so in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, but ran into a technical problem. Therefore, the new products are likely to come with conventional physical control buttons. Perhaps Apple will be able to solve the problem in the future and the company's smartphones will get touchpads in 2024.
Incidentally, quality images of the iPhone 15 Pro surfaced online the other day. The smartphone will have a titanium bezel, a larger unit with a triple main camera, a new colour, and a special customisable button instead of the usual mute lever.
