The company vivo introduced the world's first smartphone equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 processor. The novelty is called vivo X90 Pro+.

Here's What We Know

The main feature of the new generation smartphone is cameras. The front one has a resolution of 32 MP. It is based on the Samsung S5KGD2 sensor and supports Face Unlock facial recognition technology.

In the main camera of vivo X90 Pro + there are four modules. The main and portrait each have a resolution of 50 MP and optical stabilization, but the sensors are different - Sony IMX989 and IMX578, respectively. The IMX989 sensor features a 1" optical format. The pixel size is 1.6 microns or 3.2 microns when the four are combined into one.

The 64 MP telephoto lens offers an optical zoom of 3.5x and a digital zoom of up to 100x. It is based on the OmniVision OV64B sensor. Optical image stabilization is also present. Finally, the fourth component of the main camera is an ultra-wide-angle module of 48 MP. It got a Sony IMX598 sensor, but has no optical stabilization.

The vivo X90 Pro+ camera has ZEISS T* optics and laser autofocus. You can shoot video in 8K UHD at 30 FPS. In addition, there is RAW mode, Zeiss Natural Color 2.0, vivo Vivid Color and Dolby Vision support. To conclude a few words about other parameters of the smartphone: it is equipped with a LTPO 4.0 AMOLED E6 screen by Samsung with a frame rate of up to 120 Hz and a resolution of 1440 x 3200 dots. The diagonal is 6.78".

The vivo X90 Pro+ body has received IP68 water protection. The battery capacity was 4,700 mAh, and the wired and wireless charging power was 80 watts and 50 watts, respectively. In addition, the novelty has a vivo V2 image processor, stereo speakers, NFC, a fingerprint scanner built into the display, an IR port and OriginOS 3.0 firmware based on Android 13.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The next-generation flagship is available with 12 GB of RAM regardless of the modification. The 256GB storage version costs $910. The variant with 512 GB of storage - $980. It will be possible to buy the vivo X90 Pro+ from December 6, but only in China. Pre-orders will open on November 28.
