Vivo Y78+ 5G: 120Hz display with curved edges and 50 MP camera for $230
Vivo has quietly unveiled a new budget smartphone with pretty decent specs - the Vivo Y78+ 5G.
How Much Does It Cost?
First of all, this is the first Y-series smartphone with curved display edges. The novelty has a large 6.78-inch OLED screen with Full HD+ resolution (1080×2400 pixels) and 120Hz refresh rate.
For selfies and video calls, an 8-megapixel front camera is provided. The dual main camera consists of a 50 MP sensor with optical stabilisation (OIS) and a 2 MP macro lens with dual LED flash.
The smartphone also features a Snapdragon 695 processor, up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, a 4,500mAh battery and 44W fast charging. The gadget runs Android 13 with OriginOS OS 3 user interface.
The Vivo Y78+ 5G will be available in three colours (Moon Shadow Black, Warm Sun Gold and Sky Blue) and three versions:
- 8/128GB - $230
- 8/256GB - $260
- 12/256GB - $290
On sale in China will start on April 26, but no word yet on international availability.
