Norway gives Ukraine 3 M270 Multiple Rocket Launcher Systems
Minister of Defense of Norway Bjorn Arild Gram announced a new military aid package for Ukraine.
What we know
It will include 3 M270 multiple launch rocket systems. They are in storage. It is planned to upgrade them and send them to Ukraine in the near future. In addition, Norway will transfer 5,000 shells to them. By the way, Ukrainian defenders are already learning how to use the M270.
Recall MLRS M270 is an American multiple launch rocket system on the tracked base of the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle. It is designed to carry out combat missions of defeat and destruction from closed firing positions at a distance of 2 to 300 km (depending on the projectile). It can be used at any time of the day and in all weather conditions. One such unit can carry up to 12 missiles.
By the way, Ukraine has already received another American M140 HIMARS. Their differences can be found in our material.
