The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the base of the Russian occupants, which was based at a military airfield in Melitopol.

This was reported by the mayor of the city Ivan Fedorov in Facebook. According to him, Ukrainian forces launched 15 strikes at 03:00 and another 15 at 05:00. Ammunition continues to explode in the depots. Russian forces have lifted helicopters into the sky to count how much equipment has survived.

War correspondent Roman Bochkala reports that the strikes came from multiple rocket launchers M142 HIMARS. Fires have been going on for several hours in the area of the airfield, as confirmed by satellite photos FIRMS.

It should be noted that so far Ukraine has only four machines HIMARS, but they also seriously terrorize the Russian occupants due to the increased range and accuracy in comparison with the Soviet multiple rocket launchers.
