Ukrainian military will use Italian MLS SHIELD armored vehicles
Ukrainian volunteers received an export license from Italy to sell military equipment to a nongovernmental organization outside the EU.
What we know
Volunteer Yuri Biryukov told about it on his page in Facebook. Negotiations lasted for three months. Thanks to the license the volunteers managed to order 11 armored vehicles MLS SHIELD for airborne assault troops of the AFU. The contract amount is UAH 95 million. The first part in the amount - UAH 50 million, has already been paid, and the second part is still being collected by volunteers. As soon as the whole amount will come to the manufacturer's account the cars will be sent to Ukraine.
For those who do not know
MLS SHIELD is an Italian armored vehicle produced by Mobile Land Systems. The vehicle can carry 10 people, including the driver. Gross curb weight of the armored vehicle reaches 13 tons. It has a six-speed automatic gearbox Alison and Cummins engine. The vehicle has a thermal imaging camera, surveillance cameras, air conditioning and parktronic.
