What we know
The corresponding statement was published on the website of the British government on July 5. Boris Johnson told Zelensky about the progress made at last week's G7 meeting and NATO summit in Madrid. The prime minister also expressed confidence that Ukraine will be able to regain its occupied territories.
The press release states that Britain will send 10 self-propelled artillery systems and barraging ammunition to Ukraine, which we commonly refer to as kamikaze drones. Deliveries are scheduled for the coming days and weeks. Exactly what kind of SAVs and UAVs are being referred to is not specified at this time.
During their phone conversation, Johnson and Zelensky discussed exporting Ukrainian grain and rebuilding Ukraine after the war. The two leaders also discussed the cases of servicemen with British passports who were captured.
