Russia claims to have destroyed two HIMARS in Ukraine, but don't believe it yet
The Russian Defense Ministry claimed the destruction of two HIMARS MLRSs in Ukraine and a warehouse of ammunition for them.
What we know
Normally, the defense ministry does not give any evidence beyond a press release. But this time they decided to publish a video of the destruction of the multiple rocket launcher HIMARS. But it is completely unclear what is happening in the footage.
One should not believe the Russian statements about the destroyed Ukrainian equipment. According to Russian propaganda, the Russian army has already shot down 1,000 drones Bayraktar TB2, although only about 300 of them were fired. As for the possible destruction of the HIMARS, now we have to wait for a response from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is possible that the Russian Defense Ministry's statement is an attempt to reassure the military, as only four HIMARS MLRSs have managed to destroy several large ammunition depots and Russian headquarters in Ukraine in a week.
