The Ukrainian Armed Forces showed the Swedish Carl Gustaf M3 grenade launcher in action
The Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated how a Swedish recoilless rifle (in simple terms - grenade launcher)Carl Gustaf M3 works.
What we know
It is possible that the video captures one of the grenade launchers that were given by Canada. Recall that 100 units of Carl Gustaf and 1,000 shells for them arrived to Ukraine from Canada in early March.
The Carl Gustaf M3 is the third model of the Grg m/48 grenade launcher, which was developed in 1991. It has a thin-walled steel rifled liner in a fiberglass shroud. It weighs 10 kg. The grenade launcher has a carrying handle and a 3x proximity scope.
The Carl Gustaf M3 grenade launcher is used to destroy stationary and moving targets at 700 m and 150 m, respectively. It has a range of 1 km against stationary targets with active-reactive grenade.
