The AFU destroyed the Russian radar "Podlyot-K1," which provides target designation for the S-300 and S-400 air defense systems
The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the Russian state-of-the-art radar station Podlyot-K1.
What we know
Photos of the destroyed radar station were published in social networks. It was located in the village of Lazurnoye in the Skadovsky district of the Kherson region, on the coast of the Black Sea. Presumably, it was destroyed by a missile strike.
For those who do not know
Podlyot-K1 is a Russian universal mobile radar station. It is capable of detecting air targets at low and extremely low altitudes in a difficult jamming environment. The system was developed by the Almaz-Antey Air Defense Concern for the Russian Air and Space Forces. It is designed to provide target designation for S-300, S-400, etc. SAMs. Tests of the complex began in 2010, and the first deliveries were made in 2015.
