Ukraine will receive Su-25 attack aircraft: adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Podolyak thanked Northern Macedonia for tanks and planes
The other day the media reported that North Macedonia is transferring four Su-25 attack aircrafts to Ukraine. Now this information has been confirmed by Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office.
What we know
We should remind that only the mass media reported about the transfer of the attack planes, because the defense ministry of the country neither confirmed nor denied this information. The Air Force of Ukraine also could not confirm the transfer of aircrafts. "We do not have confirmation from official sources in Macedonia and the Ukrainian Defense Ministry about the transfer of these aircraft. It appeared in the press," said Yuriy Ignat, spokesman of the command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
However, today Mykhailo Podolyak wrote in social networks:
"A friend is known in trouble. It does not matter the size of your country or the amount of GDP, it is important what kind of heart you have. Many nations today show more courage than half of the G20. Like Northern Macedonia, giving Ukraine a shoulder to lean on in the form of tanks and planes. We'll never forget it."
As you can see, there are no specific details, but apparently we are talking about T-72 tanks and Su-25 planes, which journalists wrote about. Incidentally, Northern Macedonia bought these attack aircraft from Ukraine in 2001, and a few years later has rebalanced them due to lack of need.
