Mail, online banking and the pension fund: the IT army blocked more than 600 online resources in Russia in two weeks

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine has published a fresh report on the work of the IT army.

What we know

So, from August 1 to 14, hackers managed to block more than 600 online resources of Russia. For example, the online resources of Russian Post. Because of the attacks, it was possible to completely paralyze the mail service. One could not use the postal services, as well as send or receive a parcel.

The IT army also attacked the Russian pension fund. Because of the cyber attacks, military families did not receive payments and compensation for their living or non-living killers who took part in the war against Ukraine.

Online banking also suffered. Customers of many Russian banks were unable to make financial transactions from their smartphones.
