The U.S. Marine Corps has ordered a shipment of ACV-30 amphibious armored personnel carriers.

This was announced by the manufacturer BAE Systems. The number of vehicles is not said, only it is known that the contract amount is $88,000,000. Armored personnel carriers were bought for testing. If the new ACV-30 proves to be good, then BAE Systems plans to begin mass production of them in the future.

The ACV-30 (Amphibious Combat Vehicle) is one of four amphibious armored vehicles created under the US Marine Corps program. The armored vehicle has a base of an Italian Iveco SuperAV APC and a combat unit with a 30 mm RT-20 automatic cannon. The ACV-30 boasts buoyancy and mine protection. The APC is powered by a 690 hp six-cylinder engine.
