A week after the announcement of a new military aid package for Ukraine, the United States is about to announce one more.
What we know
The Associated Press' White House correspondent Zeke Miller made the announcement. According to Miller, the new package will be for $3,000,000,000. It will be timed to coincide with Ukraine's Independence Day (August 24). It's not yet known exactly what kind of weaponry is being talked about.
Recall that the latest $775,000,000 U.S. military aid package included howitzers, additional ammunition for HIMARS, mine-resistant vehicles, TOW anti-tank missiles and Javelin missiles.
