The first visual confirmation of the use of high-precision M982 Excalibur rounds by artillerymen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has appeared on the Internet.

Here's What We Know

In a short video we see the work of the M777 artillery unit of 155 mm caliber. We are talking about a version of the M777A2, which uses the Towed Artillery Digitalization fire control system. It uses GPS to aim at the enemy targets, allowing to lead accurate fire at long distances.

Next to the M777A2 you can see the tubes that hold the M982 Excalibur. These are 155mm high-precision guided active-jet projectiles with extended range. They are manufactured by BAE Systems AB. Excalibur is also compatible with German self-propelled artillery units Panzerhaubitze 2000 and Swedish Archer, which also may soon appear in Ukraine.
