The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a state-of-the-art Russian T-90M "Proryv" tank and showed fireworks on video.
Here's What We Know
The T-90M "Proryv" is considered the most modern battle tank of the Russian army. At least among those combat vehicles that are put into service and take part in combat operations. The tank was destroyed in the Kharkiv area, but it is not known what weapons were used for this.
Russian designers claim that the tank has a unique fire control system designed specifically for it. The T-90M "Proryv" is equipped with a new turret with a 125mm 2A82-1M gun, a 12.7mm machine gun and a 7.62mm twin machine gun.
The weight of the tank is 46 tons. For comparison, the American Abrams weighs 57 tons and the German Leopard 2 weighs 58 tons. T-90M "Proryv" is equipped with 1130 hp engine and is able to reach speed of 70 km/h.
