The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed an Iranian Mohajer-6 drone and two more Shahed-136 kamikaze drones in a few hours
The Russian Army continues to launch Iranian-made drones from the Black Sea. The Air Force shot down three drones in a couple of hours.
Here's What We Know
Russia has been using Iranian drones to attack Ukrainian cities for weeks. During that time, the Air Force has only been able to shoot down a Mohajer-6 strike drone once. It fell into the Black Sea, after which it was successfully captured by Ukrainian soldiers. The second UAV was destroyed in the morning of October 6 in the Mykholaiv region.
During examination of the captured UAV, it was found that it was equipped with a Rotax Aircraft Engines engine, providing a maximum flight speed of 200 km/h. Also, the drone was equipped with Iranian guided bomb Ghaem-5 with a warhead weighing 8.5 kg.
In addition to Mohajer-6, the Air Force was able to eliminate two kamikaze drones Shahed-136. They were also shot down in the Mykholaiv region. Nine more such drones were destroyed by air defense forces on the night of October 6.
