Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian MRAP Typhoon-K worth over $2,000,000

The Russian army has been deprived of MRAP-type Typhoon-K armored vehicles. Since February 24, 2022, Ukraine has destroyed or captured more than two dozen such vehicles.

Here's What We Know

"Typhoon-K", aka KAMAZ-63968 is a universal armored vehicle, which corresponds to the MRAP type. The development of the vehicle took place between 2010 and 2015. In 2015 the vehicle entered service. During this time, about three hundred vehicles were produced. The cost of one is more than $2 million.

The armored Typhoon-K corresponds to STANAG 4569 level 3b. In other words, the vehicle withstands detonation of devices weighing up to 8 kg in TNT equivalent.

The 6x6 chassis is equipped with JAMZ-5367 engine with an output of 450 hp. Cruising range is 1200 km on a highway. "Typhoon-K" can reach up to 110 km/h.
