The morning of October 8 began very well for many. At approximately 00:00 (EDT) or 21:00 (PDT) there was a truck explosion on the Crimean bridge, which caused significant damage to the illegally constructed facility.

The truck explosion resulted in the collapse of vehicle spans - two sections of the roadway collapsed and went under water. In addition, a fire broke out on the railroad that runs through the Crimean post. There were tanks with fuel and lubricants.

As a result of the explosion, Russia stopped rail traffic and stopped selling tickets for trains. Automobile traffic on the bridge is also stopped. Damage is estimated at $3.2-8 million.

While Russia is convening all sorts of meetings to investigate the incident, Ukrainian officials are posting memes on their social networks. For example, Oleksiy Danilov congratulated Putin on his birthday (October 7).
