The Ukrainian Air Force destroyed 45 Russian missiles worth $150-600 million in a few hours
On the morning of October 10, Ukraine once again came under missile attack from Russia. This was probably the largest missile attack of all time during the large-scale war.
Here's What We Know
According to the Air Force Command, by 05:40 (EDT) or 02:40 (PDT) Russia had fired more than eight dozen missiles of various calibers, including Iskander from the Black Sea, X-101 (X-555) using strategic bombers T-95 and T-160. In addition, the enemy used Tornado-S multiple rocket launchers, S-300 surface-to-air missile systems and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.
The Iskander missiles cost just over $3 million, and the X-101 missiles cost about $13 million. The Air Force Command reports the destruction of 45 missiles, i.e. $160-600 million. In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated nine Shahed-136 drones.
The video above shows the destruction of one of the Russian missiles. It was shot down using the Igla man-portable air defense system.
