Russian warship... Marine drones struck at least three Russian ships, including the new flagship Admiral Makarov, which replaced the cruiser Moscow
On the morning of October 29, unidentified naval drones attacked ships of the Russian Federation's Black Sea Fleet in the city of Sevastopol. According to GeoConfirmed analysts who studied photos and video footage, the drones hit at least three ships.
Here's What We Know
The main loss of the Russian army since February 24 is the nearly $1 billion cruiser Moscow, which went to the bottom of the Black Sea in the spring. It is not ruled out that a new flagship, the Admiral Makarov-class Admiral Grigorovich, will soon join it.
In addition, experts note that naval drones attacked the Ivan Golubets-class minesweeper Natya. At the same time, the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense states that it escaped without serious damage. To be fair, six months ago the same thing was said about the Moscow cruiser. But we all know where the Russian warship ended up.
Another drone has been moving between the docked ships for some time. Presumably it was picking out a target for an attack. The footage was interrupted after the strike.
According to analysts from GeoComfirm, six to eight drones were used to attack the Black Sea Fleet ships. The Russian military tried to shoot them down by strikes from helicopters. Two of the drones are believed to have been destroyed.
