The British TV channel Sky News, citing its own anonymous source, reported information about how Russia paid off Iran for the kamikaze drones that continue to attack Ukrainian cities.

Here's What We Know

So, according to Sky News, Russia sent 140 million euros in cash to Iran as well as three models of ammunition: the British NLAW anti-tank missile, the American Javelin anti-tank missile and the Stinger anti-aircraft missile. The weapons were part of a batch of British and U.S. military aid intended for the Ukrainian military, but seized by the Russian army. The money and ammunition were smuggled by a Russian military plane that was spotted at Tehran airport in the early hours of August 20.

The source said this could give Iran an opportunity to study Western technology and potentially copy it for use in future wars.

For its part, Iran has supplied more than 160 drones to Russia, including 100 Shahed-136 drones. In recent days, another deal has been agreed between Tehran and Moscow on drones worth 200 million euros. This means that another major UAV shipment from Iran is imminent.
