Lithuania raised $250,000 for a kamikaze drone for Ukraine

Lithuania has decided to help Ukraine create kamikaze drones and has raised funds for one such vehicle.

Lithuanian journalist Andrius Tapinas reported that the country's residents have raised $250,000 to fund the creation of a maritime drone. The funds will be sent to fundraising platform United24.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the start of a fundraising drive to build a fleet of naval drones. Within hours of the campaign's launch, the United24 platform was able to raise funds to build three drones.

The sea drone will be equipped with automatic piloting system, cameras, communication modules and warhead weighing up to 200 kg, so it will be able not only to attack enemy targets, but also conduct reconnaissance. It has a range of 400 km, a range of 800 km and a top speed of 80 km/h. The cost of one drone is ₴10 million or about $270,000.
