The New York Times cited U.S. defense officials as saying that an arms repair facility has been set up in Poland to repair weapons transferred by Western allies to Ukraine.
Here's What We Know
The fact is that one third of 350 howitzers received and used by Ukraine are out of order after intensive use on the battlefield. Repairing them in the field is problematic, so the Pentagon's European Command has set up a repair center in Poland.
The article says that work to repair weapons damaged in Ukraine has been going on at the repair base for the past several months.
At the same time, U.S. military officials are closely monitoring the condition of Ukrainian weapons.
