The Ukrainian Air Force shot down more than 60 Kh-101/Kh-555, Kh-59, Kh-31P, Kh-22 and Kalibr missiles in a few hours
On December 5, Russia launched another massive strike on Ukrainian territory. The Air Force managed to shoot down most of the missiles.

According to the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia fired 70 missiles in a few hours. Specifically, 38 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles were fired at once by Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft, some of which may have suffered after a kamikaze drone attack on the Engels-1 airfield on the morning of December 5.
T-22M3 long-range bombers fired three Kh-22 cruise missiles and Su-35 fighters struck with six Kh-59 and one Kh-31P guided missile. The ships of the Black Sea Fleet also distinguished themselves by firing 22 Kalibr missiles.
The command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that aviation, mobile fire teams and anti-aircraft missile units were able to shoot down more than 60 missiles. Thus, the effectiveness of anti-aircraft defense on December 5 exceeds 85%.
